Toxicology

Your pet's health and quality of life is important to us. We take food quality seriously and take measures to ensure that the products we produce are from clean, sustainable sources and than none of our products contain any additives or preservatives. As part of our quality control system and company policy, we take regular samples from our product lines and send them for nutrition and chemical analysis.

In each section you are presented with a set of graphs (see bellow). Each part is presented with the results of the Love-Reward™ products alongside the safe-minimum EU standard.

Graph ExplanationThe graphs are broken down into four main catagories:

1. Dioxins - Polychlorinated dibenzodioxins (PCDDs), or simply dioxins, are a group of polyhalogenated compounds. Exposure to high levels of dioxins in humans causes a severe form of persistent acne, developmental abnormalities in children, thyroid disordres and damage to the immune system.

2. Marker PCB - Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of organic compounds that are classified as persistent organic pollutants. Animals that eat PCB-contaminated food even for short periods of time suffer liver damage and may die.

3. Heavy Metals - A collection of toxic metals. Listed are Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg) and Lead (Pb). All accumilate in soft tissues and cause long-term harm.

4. Pesticides - A pesticide is any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating any pest. Listed are DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane), Heptachlor, four HCH (Hexachlorocyclohexane) compounds, HCB (Hexachlorobenzene) and Endrin.
